Edit survey structure

This guide covers adding, reordering, and deleting groups, questions, and content in the survey editor. See Survey structure for what each attribute means.

Adding items

To add a group, click the + button between existing groups in the structure panel or editor area, then select Add Group.

To add a question, click the + button at the bottom of a group and select Add Question. A type selector opens: choose a category (Simple, Choice, Date and Time, Matrix, or Multi-Part), then a specific type. The question is added at the bottom of the group.

The same + button offers Text content and Video (YouTube) for adding content.

Editing

Click any item in the editor to focus it. Edit it inline by clicking its title or description text, or through the attributes panel on the right. See Survey structure for what each attribute means.

Reordering

Drag items in the structure panel to reorder them. Groups can move relative to one another. A question or content item can move within its group or into a different group. Groups, questions, content, and question sub-parts can also be moved with the up and down arrow buttons shown to the right of a focused or hovered item.

Deleting

To delete a group, question, or content item, click the delete button shown to its right when it is focused. Deleting a group removes everything inside it.
