Statistics

The Statistics tab shows a visual summary of collected responses. Charts appear for multiple choice questions, for matrix checkbox, matrix yes/no, and matrix number questions, and for Multi-Part questions other than Multi-Part Text. Other question types are not shown.

Statistics are always shown for a specific publication, selected from the dropdown at the top of the page. A badge below the selector shows the total number of responses included.

The same filters available on the Responses tab apply here: date range and completion status.

Each question is shown as a card containing its title (stripped of HTML formatting), the total responses received, and a chart of the answer distribution. Questions with no responses still appear, with a zero count.

For multiple choice questions, each card has a chart type selector:

TypeDescription
Bar chartVertical bars, one per answer option, showing response counts.
Horizontal barHorizontal bars, useful when answer option labels are long.
Pie chartA proportional pie chart showing the share of each answer option.

Charts show tooltips with the count and percentage for each option. The selected chart type is saved per question and shared with other administrators.

Matrix checkbox, matrix yes/no, and matrix number questions each get one card with a grouped bar chart: one series per subquestion, grouped by answer option (or the reverse, depending on the question’s row/column orientation). Checkbox and yes/no bars show the percentage of responses with that cell selected; number bars show the average value entered. A table below the chart lists the exact figure for each pair. No chart type selector is available.

Each part of a Multi-Part question is charted as if it were its own standalone question of the part’s answer type. Multi-Part Yes/No, Stars, 5-Point, and 10-Point questions show one grouped bar chart with one series per part, alongside the percentage share for each option. Multi-Part Number shows one bar per part with the average value entered. Multi-Part Text has no chart, matching standalone Text questions. No chart type selector is available.

Question titles and answer option labels appear in the language selected in the editor, falling back to the default language where no translation exists.
